About Line 7
Line 7 was put into service in 1910 and was extended several times while remaining on the right bank until 1931, when it crossed the Seine to Porte d'Ivry and Mairie d'Ivry in 1946. The north of the line was forked, with trains alternating between Porte de la Villette and Pré-Saint-Gervais. In 1967, the Louis Blanc - Pré-Saint-Gervais section was made independent under the name 7 bis. Line 7 was extended to the north in 1979 to Fort d'Aubervilliers and in 1987 to La Courneuve. In the south, a new branch was created from Maison Blanche to Villejuif in 1985.
