About Line 14
The original line 14 ran from 1937 to 1976, linking Invalides to Porte de Vanves. It merged with line 13 in 1976, freeing up the 14 index, which was reused in 1998 with the opening of the very first fully automated line on the Paris metro, between Madeleine and Bibliothèque François Mitterrand. It was extended to the north towards Saint-Lazare in 2003 and to the south towards Olympiades in 2007. A concentrate of technical and architectural innovations, line 14 has been serving the town of Saint-Ouen since 2020, and will reach Orly airport.
