The Line draws memories in a single line. The story begins in Marseille, with a photo taken on board a sailing boat behind the Frioul Islands in the early morning. At that moment, the sun rises, and the backlit shot reveals a panorama both raw and sublime. The whole city is recognizable from Estaque to the Pointe Rouge: Notre-Dame de la Garde, the Trouée de Vauban and the Malmousque district. Better than framing it, Antoine, founder of The Line and a cabinetmaker from Marseille, had the idea of reproducing this relief in a laser-cut metal line. This technique and this material make it possible to detail very precisely the topography and the monuments and to give both weight and finesse to this unique object. The principle of The Line emerged: to draw souvenirs to hang on the walls.
